Ocean World Adventure Park & Marina has obtained the Travelife Partner status for the implementation of policies that contribute with the preservation of the environment and the development of the community. This award is a recognition for the long-term efforts and frontrunner position of the company regarding sustainability and corporate social responsibility.

Travelife is a certification system dedicated to achieving sustainable practices within the tourism industry. It provides companies with realistic sustainability goals, tools and solutions to implement positive change within their businesses and supply chains. It is a certification body for the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC) in order to guarantee that the different actors in the industry meet a unified set of sustainable criteria organized around four main areas: effective planning, maximization of social and economic benefits for the community, preservation of the cultural heritage and reduction of the environmental impact.

To reach this award, Ocean World Adventure Park & Marina complied with more than 100 criteria, related to office management, product range, international business partners and customer information.

Mr. Naut Kusters, manager of Travelife for tour operators indicates “I am delighted to see that sustainability is obtaining momentum among tour operators and excursion providers. This award sets an example for the tourism sector and will inspire other companies to follow the same path”.
